Ann Lois Halkyard was born January 11, 1941 in Boston, MA to L. Joseph and Emma LeBritton. Ann was a graduate from McDuffey School for Girls and Skidmore College. Ann married Neil Halkyard, Jr. and gave birth to three children, Kelly Ann, Matthew Lawrence and Todd Marston. Ann and Neil raised their kids in Lake Forest, Illinois where Ann was the Director of Gorton Community Center. Ann moved to Florida when the kids were grown to spend time with her parents and was a Director of Sales for Choice Hotels. Orlando and the parks made for many great family visits with her kids, daughters in law, Karen Halkyard (Matt’s wife) and Mel Halkyard (Todd’s wife) and grandchildren Madison, Thomas, William, Jack and Elizabeth. She loved nothing more than to run around the parks—or a cruise boat with Mickey and the kids. Ann was an avid sports fan and loved watching her children and grandchildren compete. She lived her life to the fullest, making the most of every moment. We rejoice in her life and all that she tought us and find peace in knowing that Heaven has a new angel today. A funeral will be held at the end of the summer in New Hampshire.
